The Common Assessment Standard

CQMS Ltd has been a Recognised Assessment Body of BuildUK since March 2022, undertaking assessments to the Common Assessment Standard and giving suppliers a new route to meeting the enhanced standards required by some client/buyer organisations *.

Build UK is the leading representative organisation for the UK construction industry. By bringing together Clients, Main Contractors, and Trade Associations representing over 11,500 Specialist Contractors, and other organisations committed to industry collaboration, Build UK represents in excess of 40% of UK construction.

The CAS comprises an industry-agreed question set divided into 10 key sections for ease of completion. It differs from the SSIP Core Criteria as it covers topics in addition to health and safety, enhancing and extending the pre-qualification criteria stipulated as a minimum requirement by some organisations *
