CQMS Managing Director appointed Chair of Safety Schemes in Procurement

1st October 2016

CQMS are pleased to advise our Managing Director, Eleanor Eaton, has been appointed Chair of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) Ltd.

Eleanor advises:

I have been a strong supporter of SSIP since we became registered members in 2012, and as Managing Director of CQMS Ltd actively encourage cross-recognition of SSIP member schemes and strive to ensure our scheme upholds the key principles of SSiP.  As an active member of the FMG I have contributed in the last two years unreservedly including the formation of a limited company and a thorough review and update of the Terms of Reference.

I believe health and safety should be simple and straightforward and as a SME, I am committed to reducing bureaucracy.  I would like to bring this to the SSIP forum and will continue to work with the FMG to develop the guidance and standards to be robust, fair and fully encompass all schemes to prevent fragmentation.I firmly believe that the only way to shape the future of SSIP is to directly contribute, and I am excited that SSIP offers its members the opportunity to contribute to the development of standards, drawing on specialist knowledge and experience.  Our strengths are in the number and diversity of our members and our ability to work together for the common goal.  I hope to make SSIP more relevant and understood within industry and I will be a proactive and fully engaged Chair.
