Wood firm in court over worker injury

A timber company has been sentenced after a worker sustained significant hand injuries after it came into contact with the moving blade of a cross cut saw in November 2013.

Brookridge Timber Limited, Fourways Cross, Hemyock, Cullompton, Devon, was found guilty of breaching Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and fined £5,000 with £4500 costs at Exeter Magistrates Court
